The Hull & East Yorkshire Rainbow Collective C.I.C. is a community interest company based in Hull and East Yorkshire. Whilst the C.I.C. was only registered in July 2026, we’ve been active in the community since September 2025 when we organised out first Rainbow Coffee Morning! Since then we’ve added more events to our roster, and we’re planning to keep growing.

The idea was born from visiting other cities in the UK and seeing what was available to the community during the day, including coffee shops, bookstores and event spaces. We felt that this was something that we could bring to Hull and East Yorkshire.

Across Hull and East Yorkshire, many LGBTQ+ people continue to experience loneliness, isolation and barriers to finding safe, welcoming community spaces. While support services exist for those in crisis, there are far fewer opportunities for people to build friendships, develop confidence and simply enjoy spending time with others in an environment where they can be themselves.

We believe that community is built long before someone reaches a point of crisis. A friendly conversation over coffee, an evening of laughter at a cabaret show or a relaxed board game night can be just as important as formal support services in improving wellbeing and reducing isolation.
